Kitchener-Waterloo Hi-Tech LeagueThe Kitchener-Waterloo Hi-Tech League is an outside league curling at the Elmira Curling Club. It's a social league nominally intended for people who work for companies in Kitchener-Waterloo's rapidly expanding technology sector, but if you'd like to come out and play, don't get hung up on the membership requirements; they're not sticklers. You just have to have used a PC at least once in your life and know how to spell "VCR" (even if you can't program it). A mixed bag of experienced and novice curlers, the league curls every Friday evening from 5:15 to 7:00, from October 9, 2009, to April, 2010. It's a great way to rub elbows and make new acquaintances with fellow workers in the local high tech community in a friendly and relaxed setting. The Hi-Tech League is an outside group that rents ice time and lounge facilities from the club and is not one of the leagues run directly by the club. The fee for membership in the league is $210.00 for curlers who are not members of the Elmira Curling Club; members of the club, please talk with Jason about membership fees. This year (2009), the season will start on October 9th. To register, download and print the registration form and send it to Jason Gorrie. See details in the forms. If you have questions, contact Jason Gorrie. |
